Reciting Basmalah if one recites partway through the Surah

Question:

Is it wrong to recite bismillah rahman rahim before reading the Quran.If you are not starting from the begining of the surah?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

 

Scholars of Quran recitation stated that one may or may not read the Basmalah (Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem) if he does not start reading from the beginning of a Surah.

Hence, it is not wrong for one to read the Basmalah if he is reciting partway through the Surah.
