All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Reciting this Surah regularly at a particular time and a specified number of times needs evidence. Ash-Shaatibi stated that among the things that are included in innovations is “to abide by doing some particular acts of worship at particular periods of time whereas there is no such specification in the Sharee’ah.”
Instead, you may recite any Surah or verse from the Quran, and it is more appropriate to recite verse 255 from Chapter Al-Baqarah [Quran 2:255], and Surahs 112, 113 and 114 as the Prophet used to recite them when he goes to bed.
