Wants to take birth control shots before getting married

Question:

Is it a sin if a woman takes birth control shorts before she gets married without informing her fiancé who may want to have a child soon after marriage
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

After investigation, we have not come across any statement made by the Muslims jurists may Allaah have mercy upon them on this issue. However, it appears that if this birth control method will prevent having children after marriage, then you should inform your fiancé about it. This is because having children is among the objectives of marriage, and delaying it by the wish of either spouse should not be except by the consent of the other spouse.
