Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
It appears that your wife is possessed by Jinn or that she is affected by obsessive compulsive disorder, if not by both these conditions.
For more benefit on this disorder and its treatment, please refer to Fatwa 92491.
We advise you to continue performing Ruqyah (healing with the Quran) and supplicate Allaah The Almighty as much as possible to cure her. It is also advisable to consult some trustworthy psychiatrists to look into her case and give her some tranquillizers.
On the other hand, your wife is not forbidden for you due to the doubts that she has and in principle, the bond of marriage remains valid, as certainty cannot be removed by doubt.
As regards divorcing your wife, we do not advise you to hasten to it; rather, you should be patient and endeavor to treat her; this is one of the biggest ways of being kind to her.
Allaah Knows best.
