All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
We implore Allaah to bless you with success in your marriage and your studies. We ask Him to render you a source of happiness for each other. In fact, marriage is supposed to be a helpful means for striving to acquire knowledge and attaining success, because marriage provides stability, peace of mind, and serenity. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, had more wives than any Muslim man should have, yet he was the most diligent in performing righteous deeds. He devotedly treaded all the paths of righteousness, upheld the religion of Allaah and tended to the affairs of Muslims, and he did not allow any duty to preoccupy him from carrying out his other duties.
We assume that your problem is not in your marriage but it is instead related to your mental readiness. When a person mistakenly assumes that marriage is the obstacle, this idea evolves into a firm conviction driving the person away from seeking excellence and into laziness and idleness.
On the other hand, the reason may be your failure to organize and manage your time aptly in order to observe your marital duties and your duties as students. Our advice to you is to take more time, consult trusted people and cooperate as a married couple in order to finish your studies aptly.
Allaah Knows best.
