Ruling on performing two ‘Umrahs in one day

Question:

Assalamualaykum, I am really confuse about something. It is related to my question of 2 umrahs in one day. And you answered that this is permissible. However, I am trying to contemplate about the general principle regarding ebadat - "That everything related to worship should only be exclusively from the practice of our Rasool and righteous Sahaba (i.e. found in Qur'an and Sunnah)". 2 umrahs in one day as you answered, was never the practice of our good ancestors. So what is the principle behind it's permissibility. Forgive me if I want to go into details. Because as a student of knowledge I am hoping for a clearer understanding.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and messenger.

What proves the permissibility of performing two ‘Umrahs in a single day is the order of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) to successively perform Hajj and ‘Umrah, and the general indication of the Hadeeth reports encouraging Muslims to perform ‘Umrah as much as possible. There is nothing that implies that it is obligatory to separate between two consecutive ‘Umrahs with a given period of time. This indicates that the matter is easy and that if one performs ‘Umrah twice in one day or in two days, or in a longer or shorter period of time, then he is complying with the command of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) in successively performing ‘Umrah.

Frequently performing ‘Umrah is a good deed that cannot be prohibited without evidence. Indeed, the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) permitted ‘Aa’ishah may Allaah be pleased with her to go out (of the precincts of Al-Haram) to Tan‘eem and assume Ihraam for a second ‘Umrah from there. Verily he sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) would not have given permission except for something that was permissible in Islam.

Therefore, whoever performs ‘Umrah and then goes out to Tan‘eem on the same day and assumes Ihraam for another ‘Umrah, then he has indeed done an act that is permissible in Islam.

Indeed, it might be said that it is more appropriate to stay in the Sacred Mosque to perform Tawaaf, prayer and remember Allaah much, as this is what was reported about the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and most of the Companions may Allaah be pleased with them as they did not go out to Tan‘eem to perform second ‘Umrah. However, this act cannot be prohibited given the evidence that we have mentioned above.
