All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
A Muslims’ honor depends on his adherence to the Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and the application of the teachings of the religion in his life. If he deviates away from the methodology of Allaah The Almighty, deserts the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and replaces this by any other methodology, then Allaah will humiliate him and make him suffer at the hands of His most evil creatures since he has sought honor in something else other than Islam.
Allaah The Almighty treats all people equally, and if they follow His methodology, He would grant them honor. However, if they deviate, He would not care for them. Thus, the condition of Muslims’ honor and victory is their adherence to faith and righteous deeds. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
• {O you who have believed, if you support Allaah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.} [Quran 47:7]
When Islam was born, the Arab people were the weakest nation in the world, but when they adhered to their religion they were reunited after separation and literate after ignorance to the extent that they became the leaders, teachers and politicians of the entire world. They fulfilled the promise of Allaah. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
• {Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.} [Quran 24:55]
The righteous predecessors understood this fact clearly and elaborated on it. ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab described the state of Arabs before Islam and said that they were humiliated people and that Allaah had honored them with Islam and that if they sought honor in any thing else, Allaah would humiliate them again.
Moreover, Imaam Maalik said that the latter nations of Islam would be honored only in the same way that the earliest nations were.
To conclude, if Arabs and Muslims want to regain their past honor, they have to revert to the religion of Allaah, and this is what will happen soon, Allaah willing, since many positive signs already exist reflecting the adherence of the Muslims to their religion.
Allaah Knows best.
