Men may use women's powder for treatment if no harm caused

Question:

As salaam alaikum. I suffer from severe sweating in the groin area. I use this powder which is specifically designed for women which absorbs the sweat. Does this come under the issue of imitating women? This powder works well for me and the ingredients are natural and not restricted to women, but the product has specifically been designed for them.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

There is nothing wrong with using this powder for this purpose if it does not cause any harm. It does not follow from the fact that this powder is specifically produced for women, that if a man uses it he imitates women, as using powder is not peculiar to women.
