All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Smoking, as it is known nowadays, was not known at the time of the Prophet so that there would be a specific hadeeth on its ruling, but this does not mean that it has no ruling in the Sharia of Allah, as it is known that Islam is a comprehensive message that is adequate and valid for all times and places.
Allah legislated some general rulings that can be applied to every situation and incident at any time and age; Allah says (what means): {He enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong.} [Quran 7:157]
Also, Anas narrated that the Prophet said, “There should be no harm nor reciprocal harm.” [Ahmad]
However, despite the fact that smoking is forbidden, there is nothing that prevents the acceptance of the supplication of a smoker if it fulfills the conditions for acceptance and there are no impediments to prevent its acceptance, as there is no evidence that prevents this.
