Selling clothes on site that requires pictures of real women

Question:

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu. It is permissible to sell women's clothing online on websites like amazon, ebay, etc. These websites require a photo of a real model wearing the dress. The dresses are fully covered. It is permissible to do this type of business.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

In principle, there is no harm in selling women's clothing or other items through the internet, be it on the Amazon website or eBay or others, as long as this does not lead to any Islamic prohibition. Among the prohibitions is to show the clothes on a real woman who is indecently dressed.

Therefore, if the site requires displaying a picture of a woman who is not fully covered to promote the clothes, then it is not permissible to deal with it in that. Indeed, there are many means of lawful earning for whoever seeks to find them.
