All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: “Whoever enters Paradise shall enjoy and shall not suffer; his clothes shall not wear out, and his youth shall not come to an end.” [Muslim]
The apparent meaning of the Hadeeth is that the clothing of the people of Paradise do not wear out. It is also probable that the meaning is that the people of Paradise will always wear new clothes.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said in Hadi al-Arwah ila Bilad al-Afrah:
“His saying, ‘His clothes shall not wear out’, it appears that what is meant by that are certain clothes that do not wear out, and it is probable that what is meant by it is sexual intercourse. One will always be wearing new clothes, in the same manner that eating a kind of fruit will never end; every eatable is replaced by another.” [End of quote]
As for intercourse in Paradise, there are many Ahadeeth about it, among which is the following: Abu Hurayrah narrated: “The Prophet was asked: ‘Will we have sexual intercourse in Paradise with our wives?’ The Prophet replied: “O, yes!’ I swear by Whose Hand my soul is, a man will have sexual intercourse with a hundred virgins.” Ibn Al-Qayyim said in Hadi al-Arwah: “Its chain of narrators is Saheeh (authentic); Dhiyaa’ al-Maqdissi was reported to have said: “The chain of narrators of this Hadeeth according to me fulfill the conditions of a Saheeh Hadeeth.”
In any case, there is no contradiction between the fact that the clothes of the people of Paradise do not wear out, and the fact that they have intercourse in Paradise. We do not know what confused you about this.
Allah Knows best.
