Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

There is no harm in reading comic books as long as they are free from Islamic prohibitions.

The mere presence of cartoon characters in them does not prevent the permissibility of reading them.

Looking at drawings is not prohibited in principle.
