All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
You shall not be excluded from the seventy thousand people who shall enter Paradise without prior reckoning and punishment) if you recite the Ruqyah (Quranic healing) for yourself. The Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, recited the Ruqyah for a group of the Companions and Angel Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, recited the Ruqyah for him.
Rather, what is forbidden is to recite the unprescribed incantations or ask others to recite Ruqyah for you, while relying on them (instead of Allah), as outlined in the scholarly diffidence of opinion regarding the interpretation of the relevant Hadith. In brief, there is nothing wrong with reciting the Ruqyah for yourself in the aforementioned way or other prescribed manners (approved by the Sharee‘ah), and this will not cause you to be excluded from the seventy thousand people who will enter Paradise without prior reckoning (or punishment), Allah willing.
