All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
There is no sin on you for the mentioned work, especially when you are unable to remove those images on the clothes, since Allah does not charge a soul beyond its capacity. In addition, most jurists do not see the prohibition of wearing clothes that have pictures originally. Moreover, some of them are of the view that they are disliked, not forbidden, and some of them are of the view that they are permissible because they are despised images, and this is the view that we adopt here in Islamweb.
The Encyclopedia of Fiqh (jurisprudence) reads:
“Wearing Clothes Containing Pictures:
It is disliked according to the Hanafi and Maliki Schools of jurisprudence to wear clothes that have pictures on them. The author of al-Khulasa from the Hanafi school of jurisprudence said: ‘It is disliked wearing such clothes that contain pictures whether he prayed while wearing them or not. However, it is no longer disliked according to the Hanafi school if a person wears another garment over the image that covers it....
According to the view of Shafi'i School of jurisprudence: It is permissible to wear clothes containing pictures, as they stipulated that the picture in the garment that is worn is reprehensible, but wearing it is a humiliation to it, so it is permissible then, as if it was thrown to the ground and trampled.
As for the Hanbali school, their opinion differed into two views regarding wearing a garment that has a picture:
The first view: It is prohibited, which is the view of Abu Al-Khattab, which he favored in Al-Furoo’ and Al-Muharrar.
The other view: It is only disliked and not forbidden; this is the view favored by Ibn Tamim.” [End of Quote]
