All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is not permissible to give a disbeliever friend a copy of the Quran, even if he is not sexually deviant, because it is not allowed for a disbeliever to touch the Quran, and it is also not allowed for a Muslim to hand it to him. This is based on the saying of Allah, the Most High (which means): {None touch it except the purified.} [Quran 56:79]. Imam Al-Baji mentioned in his book 'Al-Muntaqaa Sharh Al-Muwatta': ‘If a disbeliever expresses a desire to receive a copy of the Quran to contemplate, it should not be sent to him because he is impure in a state of major impurity, and it is not permissible for him to touch the Quran. It is also not permissible for anyone to deliver it to him.’
The Kuwaiti Encyclopedia of Fiqh reads: The majority of jurists agree on prohibiting the disbelievers from touching the Quran because they are considered impure, and it is obligatory to keep the Quran pure from their touch.
However, it is permissible for you to give him a translation of the Quran, as the translation itself is not considered Quran.
Allah knows best.
