All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The matter of adultery is grave, and it is one of the major sins, nevertheless, Allah, the Almighty, has left the door of repentance open for all those who repent. He the Almighty says (what means): {Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'} [Quran, 39: 53] Repentance is easy, and it is between you and your Lord. You must abandon the sin, feel remorse for what has passed, and resolve not to return to it in the future.
And you must be cautious in the future to prevent a recurrence of what happened, by closing off all avenues to indecency such as immodest dressing, seclusion with non-Mahram men, forbidden intermingling, and similar situations.
And we emphasize that while a woman is not to blame for rape, she may inadvertently contribute to it by engaging in situations that encourage such acts, such as being in seclusion with someone.
Allah knows best.
