What Is the Required Length of a Journey to Recite the Traveling Supplication?

As-salamu alaykum,What is the length of journey one should make travelling dua [ the authentic travelling supplication of Prophet (pbuh) ] jQuery111004503117648578432_1734510891251 If I go to 100m from my house, would that be consider a travel ? should I need to make dua in that case ? Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

It is recommended to recite the traveling supplication during every journey, regardless of its distance, as long as Muslim people refer to it as "a travel" according to their custom. Imam An-Nawawi mentioned in his explanation of the Hadith regarding riding an animal (when starting a journey): “This Hadith indicates the desirability of reciting this supplication at the beginning of every journey.” [End quote]
