All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad
is His slave and Messenger.
Each deceased person has their own inheritance case, which is calculated in detail at the time of death, because it changes according to circumstances and heirs. As for the husband, he inherits half of his second wife’s estate if she had no surviving descendant at the time of her death, and he inherits only one quarter if she did have a surviving descendant. Allah the Almighty says (what means): {Your share is half of your wives’ estate if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, you get one-fourth, after settling the bequests or debts…} [Quran 4:12].
As for the daughters mentioned, they inherit from the estate of their deceased mother if she left an inheritance; in that case, they inherit two-thirds of her estate. Allah the Almighty says (what means): {Allah instructs you concerning [the inheritance of] your children: the share of a male is equal to that of two females. If there are only daughters, two or more, they get two-thirds of the estate…} [Quran 4:11]. And they do not inherit anything from their father’s second wife, because there is no blood relationship between them and her.
Allah Knows best.
