It is permissible to take a short break between circuits of circumambulation

Question:
By the will of Allaah, I and my wife will perform ‘Umrah next week. My wife is in her first months of pregnancy. I read in your Fataawa that it is permissible to take a rest between circuits of Tawaf (circumambulation) and sa‘y (going back and forth between Mount Safa and Mount Marwah). My question is: What should I do? Should I wait with her during the periods of rest in order not to let her perform Tawaf and sa‘y alone, or should I leave her and perform tawaf and sa‘y according to my pace and ability and then wait until she finishes these rituals?
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
There is nothing wrong with you taking a rest with your wife between circuits since short breaks do not affect the validity of these rituals, even if there is no excuse for such breaks.
Allaah Knows best.
