All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
A Muslim is allowed to work for a Jew or a non-Muslim, if his work is in a permitted field. As long as, he continues to abide by the commands of Allah. But he is not allowed to work in any job that is forbidden by the Sharee’ah such as: making wine, selling pork … etc. A group of scholars objected on offering mean services to a non-Muslim, in which a Muslim humiliates himself, for example, serving him or presenting food etc. We would like to advise any one, who could avoid working for a non-Muslim especially for a Jew to do so. Almighty Allah Says (what means): {Verily, you will Allah find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikoon, and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud}. [Quran 5:82] Allah also Says (what means): {Those (hypocrites) who wait and watch about you; if you gain a victory from Allah, they say: “Were we not with you,” but if the disbelievers gain a success, they say (to them): “Did we not gain mastery over you and did we not protect you from the believers?” Allah will judge between you (all) on the Day of Resurrection. And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers}. [Quran 5:4] A Muslim should not provide any chance to a non-Muslim to cause harm to him. At the same time, you should also do your duty of Da’wah (calling to Allah) through the best means. Perhaps Allah will guide him through you. A Muslim should show respect to himself, and should be proud of his religion, and he should prove that he would not be enslaved by some pennies, since he believes in Allah, who is the sustainer of all creatures.
Allah knows best.
