Question:
Thank you very much for your answer to the question about the "cars prices" on the gas station.I need another clarification about the same, as you have mentioned that "Some people might purchase goods when they are not in need of those goods. They purchase only to get a coupon to subscribe to the draw".Sir, Will this rule still apply, if someone goes to a particular gas station (which is out of his way, or may be away from his house) to get the fuel, for the reason that they are offering a better car as a prize than others?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
It is Halal for one who goes to a particular gas station, even if it is out of his way, to take a draw coupon for prizes as long as he goes there for the sake of good services offered by the station and not just for the sake of receiving the coupon.
Allah knows best.
