Wants treatment for facial hair

Question:

I read on another Islamic site that in Islam women are allowed to pluck or wax the hair on their upper lip and chin but not on the rest of their face. Is this true that women are not allowed to wax, pluck or thread their facial hair? What if the women have a lot of hair on their face similar to a man and it is very embarrassing for them to be around other people because other people tend to stare and it's uncomfortable. I am a woman and I have a lot of facial hair. I wax, pluck, thread, and bleach my facial hair which includes my cheeks, the sides of my face, my upper lip, my chin and a little below my chin. My skin does not get used to these hair removing methods and I tend to get pimples and acne when I remove the hair on my face. I was wondering if it would be okay for me to get laser treatment done on my face. Laser hair removal treatment is when they do treatment on your face and it lessens the hair or in some cases it even permanently removes the hair after a couple of treatments. This treatment is expensive but I think I will be much happier (Insha Allah) if I can get the hair removed permanently or at least lessened. The hair on my face right now is very embarrassing for me and as I am not married right now. I know that when I do get married the person that I marry will not be pleased with it also. Please help me in this situation and reply to this email when you get the chance. May Allah reward you for the service you are giving.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. It is lawful for you to remove the hair that is on your face using Laser as Laser is like any other means of removing hair as long as it does not cause you any harm. But it is unlawful for you to remove the hair of the eyebrows as the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) cursed the person who does that. Allah Knows best.
