Uncertain about some bad thoughts

Question:

My brothers for the last year and a half I did not feel very good I pray the prayer but something from my stomach end my head push me to think bad things about Islam and not to be a good Muslim believer. I must be strong and wait that what happens to me vanishes but can you tell me something about this.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Satan is always lying in ambush for the children of Adam trying to block all the gates leading human beings to good deeds, if Satan fails in this task he resorts to whisper evil things to mankind. Ibn Abbas (Radiya Allahu Anhu) narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and said: 'Oh, Messenger of Allah, it is better for me to fall from the sky than talk about such things that come to my mind' . The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Al-Hamdu-Lillah (Praise be to Allah) that He reverted the Satan's machinations to mere whispers . [Reported in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad ]. You are to hold fast to your faith in Allah The Almighty, seek refuge with Him from Satan and refrain from indulging in such evil illusions. Instead you may contemplate into the creations of Allah which guide you to Know The Creator. Furthermore, you may contemplate into the glorious legislation revealed to the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and the clear signs which prove his Prophethood from the Holy Qur'an which Allah The Almighty challenges all the worlds to bring forward a Surah (verses) similar to the Qur'an. This challenge is valid, till the day of Judgement. Allah knows best.
