Heaven is for both men and women

Question:

A few days ago, one of my friends asked me a question whether women will be granted Heaven. There was also another person who told me that women can only escape Hell-fire but cannot be granted Heaven. I would like you to please comment on this.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Both pious men and pious women will enter Paradise Insha Allah. Also, the Muslim women who enter Hellfire will enter Paradise after they get out of Hell just like Muslim men who are in similar situations. So, what your colleague said has no foundation in Islam. In fact, the pieces of evidence available prove that women are addressed in the Ahadith just like men. Allah knows best.
