Pigeon droppings over Al-Masjid Al-Haraam

Question:

I was told that the pigeons in Makkah never drop their impurities when they fly over the Haram. How authentic is this?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

 

We do not know of anything that confirms your statement; we have indeed seen pigeon excrement dropping on people in Al-Masjid Al-Haraam.

Some of the people of knowledge stated that they saw pigeons flying over the Ka'bah.
