All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
May Allaah bless you and grant you a happy life. Marital life should be based on love, respect and good understanding. To achieve the love, affection and happiness, both the husband and wife should fulfill the other's right, overlook the other's shortcomings and should advise each other kindly in good manners if he/she observes something wrong, since every human being has shortcomings.
It is not wise and one cannot have a blissful life if the spouses disagree over trivial matters.
As for the matter of Mahar (bridal money) it is the absolute right of a woman, and a woman can act freely with her money and belongings as long as there is no violation of Islamic rulings. So, you have no right to feel bad for what she did.
However, you may advise her nicely and wisely to consult you before taking any actions since it develops confidence, strengthens the relationship and prevents misunderstandings.
As you know by living in non-Muslim countries one endangers his faith and Islamic standards so it is not allowed as we mentioned in our Fatwa: 81642.
Allaah, the Glorified and the Exalted, knows best.
