All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The majority of the scholars are of the view that it is disliked to pray in clothes that have pictures, or hold [or carry] things that have pictures on them during the prayer as this distracts a person during his prayer. Anas narrated that 'Aa'ishah had a curtain with which she covered one side of her room, so the Prophet told her: “Take this curtain away from me, its pictures are distracting me from my prayer.” [Al-Bukhari] Imaam Al-Bukhari wrote a chapter in his book about this and entitled it: “The chapter of the dislikeability of performing the prayer in clothes that have pictures.”
So it is more appropriate to take off the card on which there is a picture during the prayer so that it will not distract the person from the prayer.
Allaah Knows best.
