Drawing Quranic verses on boards and commenting on them

Question:

I work in multimedia and montage, so is it permissible for me to draw verses of the Quran on painting boards, which explain the occurrences of the Day of Judgement, as in the saying of Allaah (which means): {When the sun is wound round and its light is lost and is overthrown. And when the stars fall, dispersing…} [Quran 81:1-2]? Then I comment under the drawings how I imagine the scene, of course relying on the books of Tafseer (interpretation of the meaning of the Quran).

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

There is no harm in this since you rely on reliable books of Tafseer (interpretation of the meaning of the Quran) like that of Ibn Katheer may Allaah have mercy upon him. However, you should not talk about the unseen without knowledge, and should not include animate images.

Allaah Knows best.
