All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
If that man is as you mentioned - that he informs about some matters of the unseen and that he deals with the Jinn and claims seeing the souls of the Awliyaa', then he is following the way of sorcerers and soothsayers, and he is not pleasing in his religion and moral conduct. Indeed, the Prophet urged seeking a religious man with good moral conduct as Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: “If a man whose religion and moral conduct are pleasing to you proposes to you, then let him marry.” [At-Tirmithi]
You should not be lured by him memorizing the Quran, as the Quran may be memorized by someone who is ignorant about his religion and thus he becomes deceived.
It is even more emphasized to refuse his proposal because he wants her to follow his way. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 50097.
