Menses does not exceed fifteen days

Question:

After pregnancy I got like a little pocket in the uthero. Every time I have hard fuel of blood during menses, some blood fall down in this pocket and come out by 3-4 days by the end of menses. What Should I do, get ghusl after the menses and stop praing if the blood in the pocket come out and remake ghusl after that. Or wait still at stilla 7-10 days and more still I'll be sure that everything is finished?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

You should know that the maximum menstruation period is fifteen days as underlined in Fataawa 91444 and 98693. Whenever you see blood, you should consider yourself menstruating and the rulings pertaining to menstruating women apply to you. When the blood stops, you are obliged to make Ghusl and thus become ritually pure, and all the rulings of women who are in a state of purity apply to you. If you see blood again after three or four days of purity, then it is considered menstruation as well, and you should make Ghusl after the second bleeding stops.

The sum of all the days when you see blood is considered menses as long as they do not exceed 15 days, including the days of purity in between. The period of purity is regarded as a valid state of ritual purity; acts of worship performed in this period are valid, your husband is allowed to have intercourse with you, and all the rulings of women who are in a state of purity apply to you.

However, if the total period of the two bleedings and the period of non-bleeding in between exceeds fifteen days, then the blood you see after the fifteen days is considered Istihaadhah (bleeding outside the monthly menses). In this case, you should calculate the regular period length you normally experience and then consider yourself menstruating during the days of your calculated period and follow all menstruation-related rules; and any blood discharges beyond this is considered Istihaadhah (bleeding outside the monthly menses).
