Is it permissible to speak during the Khutbah (sermon) of Jumu‘ah even if only to ask about the Qiblah (direction of prayer) for someone who wants to pray when entering the Masjid or even if only to return the greeting? Assalamualaikum; I am appointed as a Khatib(Imam)for friday prayers for the about 50 prisoners in a room without mimbar. What is the reward for it? Friday prayers in mosque has more rewards right. Duration of Friday Khutbah
As salamu aleykum, The local mosque offers on Friday always a long Khutbah of approx. 45 minutes.
