Ruling on reading poems of Jahiliyyah (Pre-Islamic Era of Ignorance)
I am learning Arabic. To learn arabic eloquence I am reading poems of jahiliyyah which contains swears by deities and other shirk and kufr. Can I read it to learn arabic eloquence and understand quran better.

Living in country without learning its language
Is it haram to live in a country permanently and not learn the language bearing in mind that it makes life difficult as well as the life of your children as you cannot do basic acts like making an appointment. For example, living in Malaysia and not being able to speak any Malaysian at all. Are people who do this sinful?

Is it disliked to speak English instead of one's native language, be it Bengali, Urdu, or the like? People in Bangladesh speak half-English. They use many English words but use Bengali grammar. They also say a few sentences in English.

Saying untrue things about oneself in poetry
Assalaamu alaykum. I want to write a poem. Am I allowed to refer to myself in the poem while not actually experiencing what I am saying? For example, I write, "My lips keep telling lies," while I hardly tell lies. Is this a form of lying then? Should I make it clear to the audience that this is someone else and not me?

Knowing Arabic and speaking other language without need

Assalaamu alaykum. Is it permissible to read novels/stories or watch shows that contain Shirk (polytheism) or parts that are contrary to the basics of ‘Aqeedah (creed) while skipping these parts?
