With regard to children, the scholars differed as to whether children would be born as a result of this intercourse or not. Some said that there would be children if the man wants them, but the pregnancy and birth would take just one hour. Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If the believer wants a child in Paradise, the pregnancy and delivery will take only an hour, then the child will be the age that the man wants.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2487; al-Daarimi, no. 2712; Ahmad, no. 11339; Ibn Maajah, no. 4329). And Allaah knows best. I NEED DETAIL EXPLANATION ON THIS.THANKS. ALLAH HAFIZ
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah informed us about the bliss of Paradise by saying (what means): {And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.}[Quran 43:71]
Therefore, if a person from the people of Paradise desires to have a child, he will have him as proven in the texts of revelation (Quran and Sunnah). However, would one desire to have children in Paradise? In some narrations of Hadeeth, it is mentioned that a believer does not desire to have children in Paradise.
As regards the Hadeeth that is mentioned in the question, it was reported by Imaam Ahmad, Abu Daawood, At-Tirmithi, An-Nasaa’i and Ibn Maajah with different wordings, and it was classified by At-Tirmithi as Hasan (good) and by Al-Albaani as Saheeh [sound]. The wording of the Hadeeth as reported by At-Tirmithi is as follows: “If a believer desires to have a child in Paradise, his carriage, his delivery and his becoming young as he (the believer) wishes all this gets done in on hour.” Then, At-Tirmithi said: “The scholars differed in opinion about this; some of them said that there is intercourse in Paradise but without children; this was narrated from Taawoos, Mujaahid, and Ibraaheem An-Nakha’i, and Muhammad quoted Is-haaq Ibn Ibraaheem as saying that the Hadeeth of the Prophet indicates that if a believer desires to have a child in Paradise, it will be in one hour exactly as he desires, but he does not desire this at all. Muhammad said: “It was narrated from Abi Razeen Al-‘Uqayli from the Prophet that the people of Paradise will not have children in it (in Paradise).”
Moreover, Al-Munaawi said: “What is meant is that this will happen if he wishes to have a child, but he does not desire it, so he will not have a child born to him, so there is no contradiction between this Hadeeth and the Hadeeth which is reported by Al-‘Uqayli with a Saheeh chain of narration that there will not be children (born to the believers) in Paradise.”
Allaah Knows best.
