Question
Assalamu Alaikum, Dear Sheikh, If I buy several land properties without the intention of selling but as a savings for myself and my family, should I pay zakat?.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
No Zakah is due on the land that you mentioned in the question as it is not among trade commodities. Indeed, we have already given you an answer to a similar question in Fatwa 162859.
