Fatwa CenterHe married a girl who is too young to have sexual intercourse
Question
I have married a young woman and I cannot wait until she become old enough to have normal sexual relation. What can I do?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, it should be noted that the marriage contract with a young girl is permissible in principle; however, it is not permissible for her husband to have sexual intercourse with her until she becomes able for it, as a way of repelling harm from her as per the Islamic rule mentioned in the Hadeeth of the Prophet 
: "There should be not harm and no reciprocal harm.”; narrated by Ibn ‘Abbaas 
and reported by Imaam Ahmad

Therefore, if the girl whom you mentioned in the question is not able to have sexual intercourse, and you need a wife to keep you chaste, then you may marry another woman in order to keep yourself chaste while keeping this girl as your wife. If you are unable to do so (i.e. to have two wives), then you may divorce her and marry someone else.
