Question
Does a delay in marriage have anything to do with envy or magic?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
First of all, we ask Allaah The Almighty to facilitate your affairs and guide you to what is best for you in this life and in the Hereafter.
Please note that the only way to facilitate marriage and hasten it is by resorting to Allaah The Almighty, supplicating Him at the recommended times, obeying His commands and avoiding all that He has prohibited. Perhaps this delay in your marriage is in your best interest and there may be hidden wisdom behind it. Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allaah knows, while you know not.} [Quran 2:216]
Magic and envy are not necessarily the reasons behind the delay in marriage. However, if you are sure that you are under the effect of either of them, then you must resort to the Sharee‘ah-approved Ruqyah (Quranic healing).
