Question
I have a question in many of your answer you say words of divorce requires intention but what if someones has intention but says words that are not in anyway considered direct or metaphors like a word that rhymes with divorce like takor (which means to be soothed in punjabi and has nothing to do with divorce in itself) and as the person says it he realizes it rhymes with divorce and he repeats it with intention not because he's angry but rather he gets carried away whilst he's joking.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
These terms are neither among explicit wordings of divorce nor are they among the indirect wordings (Kinaayah) of divorce. Divorce does not take effect by such terms regardless of whether you intended divorce or not, because divorce does not take place by intention without the pronouncement of the words of divorce. Therefore, the divorce does not take place by the terms you mentioned.
We hope that you will neglect these demonic whispers and not ask the question again so that you do not open the door to whispers again. Indeed, the best cure for whispers is to disregard them and not get carried away with them.
