Question
Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu, Shaykh. I am in need of an answer to my question, No. 2666228. I did mention that I combine the Maghrib and the ‘Ishaa’ prayers, but my question is actually about performing the ablution one-and-a-half hour before the azan of the Maghrib during Ramadan and one-and-a-half hour before the azan of the Fajr on Eid day in order not to miss the Maghrib prayer in Al-Masjid Al-Haraam and not to miss the Fajr on the Eid day in congregation and then to pray the Eid prayer as well. Please re-read my question and answer it. If it is already answered, then one clarification please, Shaykh; by mentioning the Maaliki school opinion, did you mean that I am allowed to perform ablution one-and-a-half hour earlier? In general, I do not follow this opinion; I follow the opinion of renewing ablution for every obligatory prayer. Will it be fine to follow this opinion during Ramadan for the Maghrib prayer and then for the Fajr for Eid day? If yes, then I can even perform it two hours earlier, right Shaykh? Please advise, Shaykh. May Allah reward you, and I apologise if I am causing any annoyance. I am stressed out and want my prayer to be valid and do not want to miss the Quran recitation and Eid prayer in Al-Masjid Al-Haraam. Please advise, Shaykh. Awaiting your response, respected shaykh.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
If you suffer from incontinence and you follow the opinion of renewing ablution for every prayer (which is the opinion of the majority of the scholars), then you have to perform ablution after the prayer time starts. It is insufficient for you to perform ablution for the Fajr prayer before its time or for the Maghrib prayer before its time. It is also insufficient to perform the 'Eed prayer with the ablution of the Fajr. We advise you with that if you cannot perform ablution and pray at Al-Masjid Al-Haraam after the time of the prayer starts, then you should settle for performing the prayers at home in order to perform ablution after the prayer becomes due as long as you follow this opinion.
As for the Maaliki School, they held that the continuous state of Hadath (minor ritual impurity, like the case with incontinence) does not invalidate ablution. This opinion was chosen by Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah 
. You may follow this opinion if you need to as it is a strong opinion that has authoritative weight.
