Question
Salam, I read this fatwa of yours https://www.islamweb.net/en/fatwa/375331 In there, you said IslamWeb adopts the ruling that it is still permissible to play with a game that has music as long one is able to mute it. May I know if there are other scholars who may differ where they say it is permissible for an individual regardless of their age to play with a game that has music and they are not required to mute the game?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have not come across any statement of any scholar who is of the view that musical instruments are forbidden saying that it is permissible to play these games while not muting the music (sound of the musical instruments).
As for the children, their guardians are required not to enable them to play games that have sounds of musical instruments. Although children have not yet reached the age of puberty [when they are Islamically accountable for their deeds], yet they should be prevented from committing evil as a way of disciplining them, as stated by As-Safareeni.
