Question
Assalamualaikum, I’ve been asked by a non muslim the following question; why do such people exist that don’t even know about Islam, Allah and Muhammad (SAW). He’s basically asking why Allah doesn’t inform everyone about Islam because there’s some people that live in isolated areas that have never heard about Islam. I understand that Allah does not send them to hell but I just want to know why Allah hasn’t informed them about Islam? Thanks
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
The wisdom of Allah, The Exalted, entailed sending messengers to inform people of their Lord and call them to believe in Him. Unto Him belong the most excellent wisdom and the most irrefutable argument. He Says (what means): {[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.} [Quran 4:165] When He sent His Messenger, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, to convey the message of Islam, He commanded him to communicate it to people. He Says (what means): {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.} [Quran 5:67]
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, conveyed the divine message in its entirety as enjoined by Allah, The Exalted, and did not omit nor leave out any part of it. He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, commanded his Ummah (Muslim nation) to shoulder this task after him and convey the divine message to people. He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Convey from me, even if it is (only) one verse (from the Quran)." [Al-Bukhaari] He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also said: "Let those present inform those who are absent…" [Al-Bukhaari, Muslim, and others] He also underlined some of the rewards of Da‘wah (calling people to Allah) when he said: "Allah and His angels and the dwellers of Heavens and earth, even the ant in its dwelling and the fish in the sea, invoke blessings upon the one who teaches people good knowledge." [At-Tirmithi]
If there is someone who has not heard of the message of Islam, it is either because of Muslims’ failure to convey the message of Islam as enjoined, or because that person isolates and distances himself from people and does not mix with them.
