Question
Salam I have this non muslim lady who works with me . She wanted to know Islam more I tried to explain to her Who Allah swt is and the main purpose of our life. But whenever I try to explain it to her she keeps saying I dont understand so I approached different way to make it easier for her but then again she goes I dont understand, instead she is only interested in relationship questions she asked what if she married a muslim man if they get divorced who gets the baby , if he hits her can she call the police etc . My question is shall I leave her ?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and all his companions.
We do not advise you to desert that woman, rather, we advise you to continue inviting her, whether she was honest in her saying that she does not understand or she was lying. You may invite her to Islam in a different way, such as gifting her a translated copy of the Noble Quran – without the Arabic text – or other Da'wah books that show the beautiful aspects of Islam and its comprehensiveness.
Get assistance from experienced Muslims in calling the non-Muslims to Islam because they have a great deal of knowledge regarding non-Muslims' states as well as ways and methods of calling them to Islam that others may not know, so that Allah the Exalted may open her heart for Islam, which is better than deserting her since she is open to having a dialogue with you.
