Question
I am a messy housewife. I clean things, but am very disorganized. I have a 5 month-old baby and want to know if it was OK to use condoms to prevent having another child because of my inability to take care of the house. Thank you.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Using condoms is permitted for your husband to prevent pregnancy. It is like ‘Azl (coitus interruption) which is permitted with the approval of the wife. It is narrated in a sound Hadeeth that Jaabir, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “We used to practice coitus interruption during the life time of the Prophet while the Quran was being revealed. The prophet had known that but he did not prohibit it.”
It is also narrated in a Hadeeth that ‘Umar said that the Prophet prohibited practicing coitus interruption with a free woman without her permission.
