Do the believers see Allah's Face or only His Nur(Light) in Heaven?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
The Qur'an and Hadith prove that the believers will see their Lord, Allah the Exalted in Heaven. All the Muslim scholars have agreed also that the believers will see Him in the Paradise.
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Some faces that Day shall be Nâdirah (shining and radiant). Looking at their Lord (Allâh);}[75:22, 23].
Imam Ibn Katheer in his 'explanation of this Ayah said that the faces of believers will become pretty, handsome, bright and cheerful'. Imam Bukhari narrates from Jareer who said: "We were with the Prophet on a full moon night. He looked at the moon and said, "You will certainly see your Lord as you see this moon, and there will be no trouble in seeing Him. So if you can avoid missing (through sleep, business, etc.) a prayer before the rising of the sun (Fajr) and before its setting ('Asr) you must do so." He (the Prophet) then recited the following verse:
(…and glorify the Praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.) (50.39).
Imam Ibn Katheer also said:'All the companions of the Prophet, their immediate followers, and the good ancestors of this Ummah have consensus that the believers will see their Lord in the Heaven".
As for seeing the Light of the Face of the Lord, Allah, the Prophet saw it the night of the Prophet's ascension as Imam Muslim narrated from Abu Dhar that he asked the Messenger of Allah "Did you see thy Lord? He (the Prophet) said: He is a light; How could I see Him?" In another narration the Prophet said: "I saw the light only".(Related by Imam Muslim)
