I have watched live naked shows and I couldn't resist enough to leave them. I have asked Allah for His forgiveness and I really regret what. I have done. Can you help? How do I know Allah forgave me?I love everyone in my family very much and I always worry that something bad will happen to one of them. If they don't call or I call and receive no answer, or they are late arriving. I think the worse. How can I become free of these thoughts?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
No doubt that Allah is The One who has commanded repentance for us. Indeed it is He Who has advised us and guided us to seek forgiveness by repenting to accept it from us. Allah Says (of Himself) (interpretation of meaning): {The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance,}[40:3]. Allah also says: {And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.}[24:31].
Allah, The Almighty, loves the one who repents every time he commits a sin. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers, etc.).}[2:222] love is an indication of acceptance. But in order to have one's repentance accepted by the Will of Allah - one has to do the following:
1. To give up the sin.
2. To regret having done that sin.
3. To have a firm will not to repeat this sin again.
4. To repent and ask forgiveness from Allah by multiplying Istighfar.
So, if all these conditions are met, the repentance is accepted, Insha Allah (if Allah wills). Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His slaves}[9:104].
As for your second question, you acknowledged that what you feel is nothing but 'bad thoughts' which are from Satan's whispers. These can be treated by doing the following. (1) Seek refuge with Allah from Satan and his whispers and temptations. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitan (Satan) then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.}[7:200]. (2) Remember Allah all the time by doing as much Dhikr as possible. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {and remember the Name of Allah much (both with tongue and mind), so that you may be successful.}[8:45] Allah also says: {Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.}[13:28]. (3) Occupy yourself with what pleases Allah instead of being too preoccupied by your family or others.
Allah knows best.
