Fatwa CenterWhen the husband of good woman gains Paradise
Question
If I'm a good woman and may go to the Paradise, Insha Allah, could that be a reason to make my husband get in with me?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Know that the person who fears Allah and does righteous deeds, he alone will reap the reward of his good deeds.
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad).} [53: 39].
Thus, if a woman does good deeds that, by Allah's Favor, qualifies her to enter Paradise, her husband will not be with her unless he was a good religious man, otherwise he will be in the Hell-fire. Such a case is similar to that of Pharaoh and his believing wife Asia , who entered Paradise as stated in the Qur'an.
Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {And Allah has set forth an example for those who believe: the wife of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), when she said: "My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise, and save me from Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his work, and save me from the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in Allah).} [66: 11].
In simple words, Pharaoh is among the dwellers of the Hell-fire, although his wife entered Paradise since she was a believer.
