I am very, very upset for the last couple of months, and the reason is a Muslim girl I met in class from a European country but originally from a Muslim country. We were getting on very well, of course with in limits of a Muslim girl. She told me where we can pray Zuhr and took me there. Now she changed completely when I ask her why she told me that she wants to keep some distance from me, which I can't accept. I am helpless, I can't concentrate on anything, I failed my driving test because of lack of concentration. She still comes to the class but sits very far and don't talk to me. I can't take it anymore. Because of frustration sometimes I get angry with God and I say, "why did you do that to me, like showing a chocolate to a kid and then not giving it to him?" Sometimes I even boycott the prayers in anger. I say some things which I should never say but I can't stop. Please help me with a solution. If I ask the same question from our Imam in the Mosque he would say that I am Kafir.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
At first, we draw attention of the inquirer that expressions such as 'get angry with God .….. show a chocolate to a kid', are very dangerous, and delivering such expressions towards The Owner of Greatness and Pride, The Lord of the heavens and earth, The Lord of Universe, constitutes a big sin that necessitates instant repentance and sincere regret and faithful determination not to do again. Allah, The Great and Almighty, acts freely in this world, He does what He Wills and how He wills, He decides and there is none to put back His Command. For sure, discontent, resentment and criticism contradict surrender and obedience to Allah, that are two essential conditions of sound faith.
Second, we inform you of the fact that abandonment of performing prayer is very dangerous since, according the dominant opinion of Muslim scholars, such an abandonment constitutes disbelief.
So, one has to hasten to repent before it is too late or perhaps one may breathe his last without warning.
Third, as for loving the girl as mentioned in question, if one loves a girl unintentionally, like loving her after seeing her unexpectedly, then he stops at this point and takes no practical steps like looking sharply, or being alone with her, Insha Allah, he is not to be blamed and will have no offence held against him.
Allah knows best.
