If a person is having 80gms of gold and 550gms of silver and about 700 SR in cash. How can we know that he is eligible for Zakah? Moreover, if he is/not eligible for Zakah. Please guide us how to calculate/analysis the financial condition.
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
80 grams of gold alone is not enough to amount to the Nisaab (minimum amount liable for Zakaah). 550 grams of silver alone do not reach the Nisab either. The same thing can be said about the 700 Riyals. Therefore, whoever owns such wealth on which one full year elapses, has to combine them together. If all these items of wealth are altogether equal to 85 grams of gold, then he has to pay the due share of Zaakah which is 2.5%.
