I am childless and I want to have children. Are there Surahs that I can recite to help me with this problem?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
We ask Allah to grant you as many children as you like and make them pious and good so that they please you in this life and the Hereafter.
As for the Du’a to get children, we advise you of the following:
Prophet Zakaria’s (Alaihi Salaam) Du’a, he said: {"O my Lord! Grant me from You, a good offspring. You are indeed the All-Hearer of invocation.”}[3:38].
He also said: {"O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors." }[21:89]
Prophet Ibrahim’s (Alaihi Salaam) Du’a: {"My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous."}[37:100]
Among the forms of Du’a that are good in all circumstances and for all purposes the Du’a of Prophet Yunus (Alaihi Salaam). Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "The Du’a of Dhul Noon (Yunus) which he said while in the stomach of the fish: {Lâ ilâha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allâh)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers."}. No Muslim says this Du’a for anything except that Allah responds to his/her Du’a". [Al Tirmizi and Al Nasa’e]
In addition, you should say as much Istighfar as you can. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {"I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.'"}[71:10-12]. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Whoever keeps on making Istighfar, Allah gives him/her a way out of every distress and a relief from every difficulty and He (Allah) gives him whence he never thought of". [Ahmad, Abu Dawud].
Allah knows best.
