Question
What is the Islam position on the relationship between the wife and husband? If husband request that she stimulate him by inserting her finger in his anus.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
A husband is not allowed to request his wife to do such an act, nor should she obey him in this matter, because it leads to touching an impure place without any necessity. It may also lead to him becoming addicted to this act, and consequently it may lead to homosexuality. Ibn Al-Haajj, may Allaah have his mercy on him, stated in the etiquettes of relieving oneself, 'one should avoid inserting his finger in his anus; it is the practice of evil people which is prohibited, so it is forbidden'.
An-Nafraawi, may Allaah have his mercy on him, said: 'Washing inside the private parts after relieving oneself is neither obligatory nor desirable. One should give up such a practice, i.e. a man or woman inserting his/her finger in his/her private parts. It is an innovation and it is considered as homosexuality'.
Al-Khaadimi, may Allaah have his mercy on him, while he was listing the evils one commits with his hand said: 'Among the evils is inserting a finger in private parts except for the purpose of medication'.
All the above opinions of known Muslim jurists prove that inserting one's finger in one's own private parts is forbidden, thus doing it for someone else is more so.
