Question
My question is as follows:
Some people say that the Hadeeth referring to "Paradise being at the feet of our mothers" is not a Hadeeth Saheeh. I am writing a topic on this issue, and before making any wrong statement, it is of great importance to me to check this point. I therefore would be extremely grateful to you if you could shed some light on the above Hadeeth and confirm that it is Daleel. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The narration "
said this narration with this wording. What is confirmed is what Imaam Ahmad
reported, that the Prophet said: "Serve your mother and continuously be dutiful to her as paradise is under her feet (i.e. brings you close to paradise)."
